Day 1
Besichtigung
Ko Panyee
Vibrant fishing village on stilts
Koh Panyee, is a fishing village notable for being built on stilts by Malay fishermen. The population consists of 360 families or 1,685 people descended from two seafaring Muslim families from Java. The main attractions here are the mosquee, street shops, and the floating football field. If you come outside school time, you might have a chance to play with local kids. You can get to koh Payee from many different directions, the agencies will sell you a tour of the bay including James Bond island (better after 11AM), a sand bank, and Lot cave. I personally took a private boat (1,700 THB) to go there early and avoid crowds.

James Bond Island
Tropical paradise with karst
Khao Phing Kan and Ko Ta Pu, commonly referred to as James Bond Island, is an iconic destination in Southeast Asia made popular by its stunning limestone karst formations. The two islands are a part of Thailand's Ao Phang Nga National Park and served as the hideout for James Bond's villain in the 007 classic movie, The Man with the Golden Gun. Tourists flock to this remarkable spot to marvel at its emerald green waters, unique geography, and abundant wildlife that brings a spark of life to this tropical paradise.
Besichtigung
Phang Nga Bay
Stunning aerial view
This spot is one of the most photographed places in south Thailand, but it's kind of a secret spot between photographers. Not many indicate the exact location where you can launch your drone. Because yes, you need to have a drone to get this view.
The exact spot is called Ngop-Ko Tapu Pier, it's basically a local pier where small boats leave for Phang Nga bay. So there's basically nothing there, the magic happens at 500 meters altitude where the whole bay appears on the screen of your controller. If you go at sunrise or sunset, you will probably encounter other drone pilots, just make sure you fly at different spots in the same time, there's a huge area to cover anyway. If you take a boat with locals and follow the river, you'll arrive at koh Panyee, a fishing village in the middle of the bay.

Samet Nangshe Viewpoint
Spectacular views amidst nature
Samet Nangshe Viewpoint is the best and most popular spot if you want to get the perfect panoramic views of the fantastic limestone formations of Phang Nga Bay. If you plan to go for sunrise, allow 30 minutes before sunrise time, it's a steep 10-15 min walk to go to the viewpoint. You can also sleep in a tent there for 130 THB, and if you want more comfort, you can sleep at Same Nangshe Boutique, a new hotel with the same views just nearby (3000 THB/night), made for instagrammers.

Start your trip coming from Phuket airport. But instead of going to Phuket island, leave !! And discover a much better and beautiful part of Thailand :)
You’ll need a car for the first part of the trip, you can do it also by motorbike, and for the rest, it’s up to you : either you do the whole trip with car or motorbike, either you do the rest by boat, as you can go from island to island by ferry.
Start heading to Phang Nga, where you can stay 1 night in Samet Nangshe Boutique hotel to enjoy the views. While you’re there, you can do half day boat trip to visit Koh Panyee the floating village, and James Bond island. You can visit also some caves and sandbanks on the way. For sunset you have 2 choices, either you own a drone and then you go to the secret pier to have one of the best view of Thailand, or you can just enjoy the view from the viewpoint near the hotel.
At sunrise, enjoy the view from your room, it’s majestic !!
